Later that morning, during efforts to locate him, a member of the public discovered a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Vermont Route 3 and U.S. Route 7 in Pittsford. Benjamin was found unresponsive inside his Toyota 4Runner and was pronounced dead at the scene. Vermont State Police reported that he had been traveling north on Route 3 when his vehicle left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation.

Though his time on this earth was far too brief, Benjamin’s life was full of meaning.
